It is Saturday and we are still busy with those eight to five, Monday to Friday business or work related activities?
Unless you are working in the property, restaurant or other leisure business sector, or you are a firefighter or a doctor, you shouldn’t.
But even if you're in one of those sectors mentioned, there is schedule in which weeks in a year you'll be on weekend duties, isn’t it?
Of course if unexpected incident happens and things go very wrong causing emergency situation, we need to be present to handle the situation.
We may not be in control of our schedule so how we manage our time often becomes very challenging. When talking about time, many people say that they're not having enough of it. Everyone has 24-hours each day. We can take control of our schedule if we choose to do so.
Very often people use time as an excuse for not doing something else other than their routines. In fact, we can find ways to slice blocks of time out from our daily weekdays busy schedules.
Now you might ask, what about if we are running our own business, i.e. groceries or building material stores and because of its nature open 7-days a week?
Well, folks, there are many very successful people who started their business that way but then managed their schedule the right way. One very good real example is a nation-wide biggest public listed building materials distributor in Indonesia. The owners started a small store and over the years developed into a trillion Rupiah business.
On weekend we should make time for other non daily routine activities such as time with our family, relatives and/or friends, for contributing in social activities, and also for ourself. Make time also for evaluating and planning every week and we simply just had to schedule it.
Use free time to reflect. Make time work for us not against us.
