C-S-R

“We know that true abiding happiness cannot exist while others suffer, and comes only from serving others, living in harmony with nature, and realizing our innate wisdom and the true and brilliant nature of our own minds.” Prime Minister of Bhutan, 2009.

Many times I encountered employees of companies said their companies have great corporate social responsibility initiatives but they quickly added that many of the employees are actually having the same or even worse living environment.

Companies shall continue participate in the collaborative efforts to alleviate poverty by having corporate social responsibility initiatives but companies can start directing the efforts in improving the welfare of the employees.

Many well respected and successful companies have gone through that path so other companies may also follow the same way.

For us as indiviuals, start serving other people, begin with your family members, ie parents, spouse, children, in-laws and other relatives. We may move further serving our friends, communities, peers, employees, our nation and the world if we have the abilities to do so.
