Visualize for Success

Two days ago I was writing this short article about the importance of being able to visualize for success and a friend told me via text messaging about a tragic car accident that caused fatality to some of its passengers. In all situations like that sudden lost of the loved ones, all of us can feel the sadness and losses felt by the family members. With that feeling in mind, I would also express my deep sorrow and sympathy to the families left behind and may God give them comfort and consolation.

We often read the confession from even those most successful people that they all had been so many times caught up in situations trying to cover up their fears and discouragements in their quests for successful life. We all like everybody else did experience the same situations too. However, how many of us have realized that we can never control the big things in life such as death, loss of our loved ones, love or even heartbreak? All of those things are in God’s hands. But have we also realized that admitting troubles actually helps us learn and cope with those big things in life?

So many inspiring stories of life transformed because of positive thinking toward life but do we realize that positive thinking is an act of faith - in ourselves and in others? So to think positive, do we just have to possess faith to conquer doubts in ourselves and in others? That’s right as the start but after that we must set significant goals for our life. We should somehow pursue those goals by focusing on smaller things and steps that will lead to those bigger and more important goals. Those smaller things and steps are necessary to build our confidence.

We can visualize and make leap in our mind from who we are in the present to who we will be in the future. First, release our minds from the thinking of limitations and impossibilities. Fill our minds with the rewards of all the possibilities and opportunities. For instance, the negative thought that we are so busy hence there is not enough time in the day to do what we want to do, must be replaced with a positive one that there will be time to do important things although we are busy. Then we should project ourselves beyond what we are now and imagine what we might become by achieving those goals that matters to us. The ability to visualize picture of what we want to be is an essential element of life-altering change as we will have a more positive attitude and hence be more successful.

Change our thinking, change our life.
