A master key was actually just a
blank key before it has gone through a formation process to match all different
internal combination inside each of those cylinders so it then can open all of them one at a time.
A
leader, like a master key, must first seek to understand the various different
expectations of his or her people, so he or she then can unlock their different potentials to get all the things
done, and like a master key can open only one cylinder at a time, a leader
must also have patience to interact one by one
with his or her team members to get maximum mutual
benefits.
Just a gentle reminder, however, unlike cylinders that will stay unchanged
forever, people change their expectations over time.
